A recent article in the Tampa Tribune seems to be written from a rather negative perspective. It is important that preservationists comment on such articles, voicing support for restoration of the Belleview Biltmore and pointing out errors and inaccurate assumptions about the hotel’s current condition, renovation costs, etc.
Hopefully, our pleas to save the historic Belleview Biltmore will reach the ears of an investor before it is too late. Learning how much support there is for the restoration of the hotel might give potential investors additional incentive to invest in this project. Restoring the Belleview Biltmore could provide solid, long-term returns on such an investment, but that’s not all. The investor who saves the Belleview Biltmore would earn an enviable legacy, as the person who saved this magnificent structure, allowing it to be enjoyed by many future generations.
